Description
Softer Sleep and Snuggly Satisfaction You've been tossing and turning every night for some time now. You start off lying on your side and end up flopping back and forth between your stomach and your side again. All night. You try to put your arm under your pillow; you try it down by your side. No matter how you position yourself, you just can't seem to get comfortable. You wake up each morning with a sore neck and an aching back, and no matter how long you sleep you just don't feel rested anymore. It's definitely time for a new pillow, but how to choose among all the available kinds? What you need is the Cloud Pillow with Arm Hole, by Deluxe Comfort. This uniquely designed pillow features two arm holes, or actually more like arm tunnels, that help you be in the perfect position no matter how you lay. One arm tunnel runs horizontally across the front of the pillow, and the other cuts right through the middle of the pillow, giving you the option of several comfortable positions. And because freeing your arm up improves its circulation, you won't wake up with "dead hand" in the morning anymore, or have to experience the pins and needles as your arm wakes up.The ergonomic construction of this cloud pillow holds your head and neck in the best position for support, helping to both prevent and alleviate sore or stiff neck and back muscles. It is most suitable for side sleepers, but also works well for stomach sleepers. Even those who sleep on their back will experience a sweeter slumber. And it's just the right size and shape to let you snuggle in closer to a loved one. The air-filled micro beads mold to the contours of your head and neck, making this the softest "cloud" you'll ever sleep on.GET YOURS NOW before this amazing pillow sells out and experience SOFTER SLEEPING!

  • The perfect pillow for me!
I have a torn rotator cuff which is really painful, so I when I saw this arm tunnel pillow I thought I would give it a try. I'm really glad I did! This pillow keeps my arm stable while I sleep which prevents further injury and provides me with some relief. Prior to using this pillow I would awaken numerous times throughout the night with exceptional pain in both my shoulder and arm. Since I have been sleeping with this pillow I have been able to sleep at night and awaken with minimal pain. I'm glad I got the arm tunnel pillow! !

  • Best Pillow Ever!
I didn't want to put much faith in this pillow, the price alone was the major obstacle. I've tried in the past to find a solid pillow but with three kids and life in the way, just couldn't justify the cost. I spent one night on this beauty and it was the first night,in quite a while, I didn't have a stiff neck when I awoke. I always sleep with my forearm under the pillow, supporting my head, so I appreciate the padded arm slot. I tossed less. My shoulder muscles weren't tight in the morning. And I felt refreshed.

A negative, a slight one, the pillow when first opened has an awful smell. I had to wash the case twice before I felt comfortable with it. But that's a minor flaw, an awesome pillow!

  • It works!
I was very skeptical about this pillow after receiving it and examining its structure. I was all set to write a snarky 1-star review about gimmicky over-priced "Sham-Wow" type products when I noticed something important. After using the Arm Tunnel Micro Cloud Pillow for the last two weeks, I'm sleeping better!

I am a side-sleeper which puts me in theaudience for this product. I'm 64 years old and sound, restful sleep has gotten more elusive with each passing year. Even with this pillow, I still wake up a couple of times every night, but I feel that those intervals where I am asleep are deeper and more restful than with my old regulation, Queen Size, polyester-fill pillows.

Because of its unusual structure, a standard pillowcase won't fit properly. The Arm Tunnel Pillow comes in its own specially designed case which opens via a zipper pull on the right side of the "thin" edge. I couldn't find laundering instructions for it, but I washed it in hot and observed no negative consequences.

As far as this being a pillow for two, well, I could see newlyweds getting away with that but, honestly, that's the only case. I think it's a mistake for the manufacturer to market it that way. I suspect that they have done so as a way of justifying its cost, which is admittedly high.

I suggest that you draw no conclusion after just one or two nights. Any pillow change, good or bad, requires time to get used to the difference. Give it a few nights before you decide.

I find that I prefer to sleep off-center, to the right or the left, rather in the central "valley" of the pillow.

I don't know if it's due to the "arm-tunnels" (I don't think so) or the "micro-bead" filling (most probably) or some other aspect of the pillow's construction, but the net-net is that I sleep better and, to me, that's worth 5-stars.

EDIT 12/2013: On the unlikely possibility that someone might wade through the pages of reviews for this item and see this, I felt obliged to offer a status update. In early November of 2013, I awoke one morning to discover that most of the strength in my left arm had disappeared! A trip to the Emergency Room yielded a diagnosis of Cervical Radiculopathy--a pinched nerve in my neck.

I had an MRI, and that showed that my neck was actually in pretty good shape. I'd had no recent neck injury. When I informed my doctor that I had changed pillows to this one a few months earlier, he felt that was the most likely culprit.

I'm not changing my rating because there's no direct proof that the Arm Tunnel Pillow was responsible, but I thought I ought to mention it.

I've switched back to my oldpillow.

  • Has changed my sleeping pattern
When I opened the box and found this oddly shaped pillow I didn't know what to think. True, it looks exactly like the photo, but somehow it's a little more odd up close. I'll confess that I don't find the arm tunnel to be much of an asset. It never seems to be in the right spot for me. Also, I'm not buying the blurb that it is big enough to share. It's about the same a king-size pillow, and that's not sharing size to me. Still, I didn't get it with the intention of sharing it, so that was no big deal. I also was a little concerned about the beads inside because my history with beaded pillows is that they contour to much to my face and smother me. This pillow does not. There are so many beads packed in that they give to my head and body, but not to the extent that it curls around me. It supports instead, which I really like. The greatest benefit I have found is that it raises my head enough that it keeps my indigestion for popping up about an hour after I go to sleep. For the last six months, at least four nights a week I have woken up about an hour after going to bed with severe indigestion. I generally have to get up and sit for at least an hour before going back to bed, severely impacting my functionality the next day. In the 10 days I have been using this people, I've only had one night of indigestion. Admittedly, this is a small sample, but it is a huge deal to me. The manufacturer has made no such claim, and this is an unexpected bonus, but I'm certainly glad. The only other minor downside is that after 10 days, there is still a bit of a plastic-chemical smell when I first lay down. This has gradually diminished, and I expect it will go away entirely soon. I mention it, however, for those with sensitive noses.

  • We love it! The pillow of our dreams,
The Arm Tunnel Pillow Micro Cloud Pillow IS like a cloud.
There is a zipper on the cover, so it can be washed. You do not cover the pillow with a case. That would defeat many of the benefits this pillow affords you.
We deal with a lot of pain here. I know that a good night's sleep is critical to our well being.
This pillow, specifically for people who live and sleep with pain, is very helpful, I think.

I am not able to say that I am an expert(eg, orthopedic doctor, pain specialist) with a degree.

The pain we have here is: fybromyalgia, osteoarthritis, bursitis, and neuropathy. My husband also has insomnia.
He can hold it any way he wants and finds it to assist in easing night time pain.

This pillow has been helpful with all of these chronic discomforts, in our case.

I would not suggest buying one of these pillows with the expectation of sharing it, despite the photos shown of a couple sleeping, using it that way,

Yes, it can be used by two people due to the fact that it has channels which keep sections separate which means one person's weight on the pillow does not affect the other person's weight on the pillow.

However, it is too small in my opinion, for use by two people. I think all the photos of this pillow make it look larger than it is. Read the dimensions and then compare them with a regular pillow.

However, that is the only negative thing I have to say.

Other than that, this is the most comfortable pillow I have ever had. We find it a blessing to have a pillow this great.

Added after reading other comments: Yes, we smelled the smell. It goes away in around two days.

Final note: it never loses its shape.

  • Very comfortable, vey useful
I found this pillow to be very comfortable, and very useful, providing good support for the head and neck. As advertised, it facilitates side sleeping best--the arm tunnel is a very bright idea. I think the cost might be a barrier to the average person, but, compared to a restless, sleepless night, the price is not that steep.

  • FANTASTIC
This pillow is far better than I expected. I've always preferred down pillows and have not found synthetic ones disagreeable. But since I have persistent neck discomfort, it's been hard to enjoy a truly restful night's sleep. I have used this Cloud Pillow now for two weeks and my neck has never felt better. The air filled micro balls allow this to form instantly to the shape of your head and neck for a perfect fit. It keeps its shape until you shift and it then comforms to your position. This pillow changes how I feel when I awake and how I feel throughout the day because of the much reduced neck discomfort I feel. Honestly, after all this time, I wouldn't have believed this on testimony alone. Now, having tried it, they've made a believer out of me. The Cloud Pillow is truly fantastic!

  • There are some things I like about this pillow
The Arm Tunnel Pillow Micro Cloud Pillow is designed to help side and stomach sleepers sleep better at night. It is thirty inches wide, four inches high, and 15.5 inches deep with a "tunnel" in the middle for your arm. It is filled with micro beads so the pillow never loses its shape.

As a lifelong stomach and side sleeper who often suffers from back pain partially due to the way I sleep, I'm always looking for a comfortable pillow and was curious to try the Arm Tunnel Pillow Micro Cloud Pillow. So far I've had mixed results. The pillow is an interesting shape (I was looking for instructions on how to use it, the first time I've ever done that for a pillow, but there aren't any). The pillow did smell a bit when I first got it but the smell faded fast. Although the product description says two people can use it, I don't see how more than one person can comfortably use it. It is a bit too large for a regular pillow case but it does come in a white cover that can be removed and washed. As for comfort level - I do prefer feather pillows but the micro beads aren't bad. I like the arm tunnel idea. I find the pillow works better for me when I'm sleeping on my side - I feel comfortable sleeping that way and don't toss and turn. The pillow is a bit too high for me to feel comfortable using it when sleeping on my stomach.

The Arm Tunnel Pillow Micro Cloud Pillow does help me when sleeping on my side but may be a bit too expensive for what it does.

  • LOVE THIS GOOFY THING
I totally do not get the whole idea behind this pillow. I am having extreme pain with my arm, but the pillow did no good. I would stick my arm where I was supposed to, but those micro-beads spread out and my head sinks. I like my head elevated, and double over my pillow when sleeping. You can't do that with this pillow. However I use it all the time. I sit on my bed with my laptop and rest my arm on it, or stick it under a down pillow for elevation. Those micro beads hold the upper pillow in place all night. I had gotten a bad stomach ache, and rolled it under my stomach and leaned into it and it helped tremendously. Sometimes when my back hurts I put my feet on it. In grab it and use it all of the time, just not for it's intended use. I just think it is a lot of money to spend for a little pillow especially if you have pain or health issues.

  • The Ugliest, Most Confortable Pillow I've Ever Had
I've spent quite a lot of money on pillows, and until now I haven't been quite happy with any of them. Perhaps my best option until now has been no pillow, but just like trying to sleep without any kind of blanket it's just habitually hard to sleep like that.

What I love best about this pillow is not its unique shape, but its unique 'give'. It has the stiffness of a soba pillow without that bullet-proof feeling, and yet it's just soft enough.

Oddly, I haven't used the arm tunnel, and that makes me think that all the times I put my arm under the various high tech, ergonomic pillows of the past, I was compensating for being otherwise forced into an uncomfortable position. With this pillow, I don't have that problem. I can sleep in one position, all night, and it works as well in one position as another.

My wife also noted that I stopped snoring and occassionally grinding my teeth in my sleep. That's just plain healthier.

The only downside I have to note is that it is wider than a traditional pillow, and so standard pillow cases leave a few inches hanging out. This hasn't been a problem for me, but you might want extra long pillow cases to compensate if the look of your bed setting is important to you. It's not so wide that it takes up more than my share of real estate on our queen size mattress though, and we could easily fit two of them if my wife decides to get the same one.

Bottom Line: I'm sticking with a winner. I hope from now on I can find this pillow whenever it may be that I need a replacement.

  • best pillow in the world
This pillow is worth every penny. I actually have an extra pillow in the closet just in case something happens to what I have on my bed. I don’t think I can spend a night without this pillow ever again. I’ve tried a lot of pillows and none of them had the effect that this one has on me. It’s a good purchase because it lasts a long time and you can just putting new covers and plum into a nook that goes right under your neck. This is perfect for relief of neck whiplash pain. Best pillow in the world.

  • The Perfect Pillow!!
I can't believe just how much I love this pillow! Since I've received it, I can't go to bed without it and it seems to have cured my problems with falling asleep right away!

I've always been mostly a stomach sleeper and if you are, then you know that you never know where to comfortably put your arm! Same thing when you sleep on your side. Well, not with this pillow! It has a tunnel for your arm to fit nicely under the pillow and enough bulk that I no longer need two pillows. This funny shaped pillow does it all!

It's not too hard and the beads inside give you great support for your neck. It's really amazing. I've always had trouble sleeping due to sickness, and I'm not saying it's for everyone. But, it's definitely worth a try! As for me, it's my solution and my savior. I am going to order another one just in case I need it!

I used to dread going to bed at night. I knew the tossing and turning would be Cingular and I would be up for hours. Not any more! That's now a thing of the past!

  • Soft and Comfortable
This pillow is extremely comfortable and I really enjoy it. It feels wonderful to wrap yourself around it. It will especially be appreciated by "birthday suit" sleepers. As for less tossing and turning through the night, that is debatable. That has more to do with your emotional state than the softness of your pillow. During a couple of tumultuous weeks,my Arm Tunnel Pillow ended up on the floor so it certainly didn't reduce my tossing and turning. It did and does feel great though.

  • Great Sleeping Pillow
This was my first time using one of these new "funny looking" pillows. And I'm goad I had the opportunity to review it!

Before starting, I want to say that I believe among the millions of Amazons products in the world, Pillows are very personal. What works for one may not work for another. What I feel comfortable, another may not, and so on. We use pillows each time we put our head down, yet hardly think about the pillow until there's a problem with the pillow or such.

With that being said, compared to other pillows, this is is a big pillow. Personally I like big pillows.

It's soft, but not so soft that it's like nothing is there (you know those pillows that give no support).

The "slot" for your arm works well.

In addition,I purchased a pillow guard and cover. King size. They are a big big, but they will keep the pillow clean.

I cannot find any faults with this pillow.

  • Side sleeper's love pillow
I am a side sleeper who wakes up to find my pillow bunched up under my arm, folded in half against the headboard, or flung onto the bedroom floor. Over the years, I have tried feather pillows, down pillows and memory foam pillows with moderate-to-miserable success.

My last one was a memory foam pillow. Despite the manufacturer's claims, the memory foam pillow quickly lost its spring-back-to-shape ability and felt like a wad of wet cotton.

Having never tried this type before, I did not know what to expect as I unwrapped the Better Sleep Pillow's air-infused micro-bead cloud pillow. The closest I had experienced was a buckwheat pillow during my years in Japan. Calling a buckwheat pillow firm is a polite way of saying it feels like a sack of sand.

I immediately noticed the Better Sleep Pillow's micro-bead model is much larger than a standard pillow (25 inches wide, 14 inches deep and 4 inches high) with a silky spandex covering that feels cool to the touch. I could hear the beads sliding around inside.

The pillow's comfort and coolness is wonderful. I took a nap (test drive) and woke with no neck or back pain. Again, later that night, I slept well and awoke with the pillow right in place, instead of scattered on the floor.

Now, I tried spooning with my wife and have her share the pillow. That did not work well for us. The horizontal arm tunnel built into the pillow can do the trick, although the level of success will have more to do with each couple's preference rather than any limitations of the pillow itself.

Overall, I am really pleased with the Arm Tunnel Pillow Micro Cloud Pillow and will purchase another when necessary. I have used this pillow for roughly 30 days, so I can't report on its long-term durability. However, I will come back and post and update should something change drastically.

  • Great Idea That Works And Feels Different From Other Pillows
I like this pillow even though it has a different feel from regular down or microfiber or polyester pillows. I like the Arm Tunnel because I like to sleep on my side with my arm under my pillow.

The pillow is filled with micro beads. When I lay my head on the pillow I can feel the beads. It is a nice feeling because my head sinks into the pillow and the beads feel nice resting against my head. It would be interesting trying a regular shaped pillow with micro beads in it to see how it feels.

This pillow is made with an arm tunnel in the center. As a result I use the pillow in two ways. I use it with another pillow on top and my arm resting in the arm tunnel. I also use it in my reclining chair and I rest my head in the center.

I like to sleep on my side with my arm under my pillow but my arm will feel uncomfortable and get a pins and needles feeling with a regular pillow. This pillow gives me a space to place my arm so it does not get that pins and needles feeling. I do put another pillow on top because I usually sleep with two pillows.

I also use the pillow when I am sitting in my reclining chair. I sometimes will turn the pillow over and rest my head in the Arm Tunnel. I like the feel of the beads against my head as my head rests in the pillow. I will also use the pillow face up with the Arm Tunnel opening on the bottom It give me a little more support than the other way and also feels good.

The pillow came in a plastic wrap with the website for the company. I could not find any tags on the pillow listing the contents of the pillow or washing options.

This is a good micro fiber bead pillow with an Arm Tunnel. I would not use it as my sole pillow in bed and it is different from the pillows I have grown up with but it is still very good for what it is--a micro fiber bead pillow with and Arm Tunnel.

I would give it four and half stars because it lacked information about the contents and ways to wash it but since I can't I give it five stars.

  • Less sound asleep, more sounds of sleep
The Arm Tunnel Micro Cloud Pillow probably looked good on paper in the design shop, but somehow isn't as fantastic as I hoped. In theory, the idea of a pillow that has a built-in space for your arm is a great concept (primarily for stomach or side sleepers). However, the pillow is questionably constructed, marginally comfortable, and oddly noisy as you change positions. It's not bad for lounging on the couch, but it's not great for an 8 hour sleep session.

    Pros:
    * Somewhat comfortable
    * Shapes to head and neck
    * Arm space is helpful, if you don't move around a lot when sleeping. I started sleeping on my stomach, with my arm neatly placed in the arm space for this pillow. However, once I started moving around and changing positions, I ended up bunching up the pillow in the same way I would bunch up a regular pillow. Maybe that's more my fault, which is why I still considered this a Pro and not a true Con.

    Cons:
    * Wished it was more comfortable and the beads didn't bunch up on one side a lot
    * Not a lot of consistent support compared to other pillows
    * Although the stitching is okay and the seams are fine, the cover material feels overly smooth

Overall, I give this pillow a 3 out of 5. It's not the worst pillow I've slept on by any means, but it's not as great as I was hoping for. As the title shows, there was less sleeping soundly and more random sounds during sleeping.

  • Makes me very sleepy :)
This is such a floppy, cozy pillow. I typically have insomnia, have a very hard time falling asleep frequently, and get quite a few migraines & general headaches, so a good pillow is a serious requirement for me. I was not sure what to expect with this one, since it's got such a unique design, but amazingly, I love it. I have found it to be very comfortable no matter what position I sleep in, and I love the soft floppy nature of it so I can have it how I want it (and no lumps - yay!). I find that I am falling asleep faster and staying asleep longer as a result of laying on this pillow, and for bad headaches or migraines, it's so perfect because of it's softness. I am very happy with it. Another perk is that the cover (pillowcase) can be unzipped and taken off to wash anytime. :) It's a great pillow and I very highly recommend it!

  • Very comfortable
This pillow works wonderfully whether I am sleeping on my side or back. I love the little shoulder "shelf" at the front of the pillow, it gives extra support for my head against my shoulder, something that I haven't found in any other pillow so far (I have about 12 on my bed, most of them "specialty" pillows like this one). I don't use the arm tunnel too often, but when I have wanted to, it's been really nice that it's there. The height of the pillow is perfect for me, and would probably work well for most since it's sort of "adjustable." It's semi-moldable, which means I can bunch it up in a certain spot where I need more support, and it will retain that shape for awhile (and still be soft and supportive).

Regarding the smell that other reviewers wrote about--yes, there was a strong smell when I first opened the bag, but I let the pillow air out for about two-three days, and it was completely, totally gone (and I am *very* sensitive to smells).

The pillow is probably something that won't last "a lifetime," as the materials inside will probably absorb moisture and/or harden over time, but it's so comfortable I'd be willing to replace it with the same thing in a couple of years.
