Art Collection, Kanata endeavors to capture both the traditional and contemporary designs of our artists with licensing programs that give back to the artist, the organization and the community. An ideal way to celebrate any trip to the North West is with an item that is unique to this region and carries much significance in the native community. The woven designs of Debra Sparrow integrate the rich history and culture of the Coast Salish people. Debra was commissioned to design this authentic Salish wolf blanket by the Tsleil-Waututh Nation (Slay-Wah-Tooth). The Tsleil-Waututh people come from the Wolf Clan, and the wolf symbol is a celebration of family, unity and strength. Fringed cotton throw in single layer tapestry design.
